DELIVERY OF ACADEMIC CURRICULUM

  1. Smart Learning can engage students and produce more meaningful learning experiences by using audio/visual aids from various sources. We have Smart Class enabled classes with a plasma/ smart board in each class to aid the teacher to help in delivering the concept better.
  2. Grouped Classroom Experiments are activities where a number of students work in groups on carefully designed guided inquiry questions.
  3. Co-operative Learning involves structuring classes around small groups that work together in such a way that each group member’s success is dependent on the group’s success. There are different situations, but they all balance some that distinguish co-operative learning from competitive or individualistic learning.
  4. Projects and Models are effective teaching tools. The models are used as demonstrative tools to explain a particular concept. Once the child creates his/her own project, it is easier for the child to internalize the concept as learning 
  5. Context rich problems are short realistic scenarios giving the students a plausible motivation for solving the problem. The problem is a short story (beginning with “you”) in which the major character is the student. 

 Smart Teaching Technique:-

 It is a thing of the past when teaching and learning were restricted to classroom sessions prominent with white chalk, dusters, and blackboards.
Now is the era of smart classrooms which make learning fun through the use of digital equipment like the VCD or DVD player or laptops and computers, fitted to a projector.
Smart classes are conducted by a teacher using a viewing screen that is attached to the projector. Students will assimilate the audio-visual information that is projected on the screen and learn about the topic.
  1. We all know how helpful it is to remember something that is taught visually to us rather than the one that is read through pages after pages. Just imagine, how beneficial would it be for students to understand a chapter visually in class. The concept of smart class education is indeed a blessing to the students of the 21st Century. Technology is changing the way life functions and if it’s for the good, then why not go for it!
  2. Smart classes use all interactive modules like videos and presentations and these visually attractive methods of teaching becomes appealing to students who are already struggling with the traditional method of teaching in a classroom. In fact, smart classes are almost like watching movies as sometimes, animated visuals are used to teach a point. This kind of visual is both eye-catching and young students can easily relate with them. This is because the audio-visual senses of students are targeted and it helps the students store the information fast and more effectively. And then, there is the advantage of utilising much of the time wasted earlier in drawing or preparing diagrams on board. Smartboards have all these information in memory and can be presented during the time of class lectures and thus, the time saved can be used in more important things.
